The fabulous Copper House at 965 South Race Street in Washington Park won an
Architects
’ Choice Award for Sean Garrett Architecture. The home is distinguished by $75,000 worth of copper on the exterior walls
alone, and a huge ground-to-roof backyard fireplace draped in copper.
Offered at $1,991,000 and listed exclusively by Darrell Hamilton, The Copper
House showcases a magnificent two-story great room featuring a fireplace with
60,000 pounds of concrete running from floor to ceiling.
The luxurious master suite is highlighted by an entire corner of glass doors
that fold away, opening to a balcony to create a
“Swiss Family Robinson” tree house effect.
The property is professionally landscaped and surrounded with lights
illuminating the trees and shrubs.
Enhancing the backyard fireplace adjoined to the garage is another exterior
garage wall with hand-laid stones featuring exterior light that creates a
dramatic environment in the evening hours and on through the night.
The Copper House, built by Character Builders Colorado, offers four bedroom
suites, five baths, and 4,500 finished square feet, including the full finished
lower level with media room and an enclosed glass wall for the wine cellar.
